Watauga Rec Center Fee 

Per county rules, you will need a membership at the rec center. It can be a family membership or an individual membership for your swimmer, but you will need one to avoid having to pay the daily rate. Please see the front desk at the rec center to set this up if you haven't already.


Watauga Swim Team Fees


1) Annual USA Swimming membership fee: $35-$88. There will be more information on how to register your swimmer in your welcome packet. This provides an insurance policy for every swimmer (your child will also receive Splash magazine every other month).


2) Monthly dues: Guppies $60, Blue Gills $70, Sea Turtles $80, Junior $90, Senior 1 $100, Senior 2 $115. 


3) Meet fees: vary per meet.  Meet participation is voluntary for the beginner groups; however, we do have some guidelines for other swimmers. These fees will be found on the meet information posted with every meet on the website. 


4) Fundraising requirements.  Vary--usually $50 per fundraiser w/ 1-2 per year.  Swimmers can raise the money, or families may pay it if they are unable to participate in the fundraiser.

 

Our Season Structure:

We implement 3 different “seasons” throughout the year that your children can take part in. Accounts will be billed monthly, but once you start a season, you must continue to pay through the end of the season. We are unable to pause billing mid season*. During the last 2 weeks, you will have the chance to let me know if you will be taking the next season off OR if you're coming back for the following season after a break. Please note the commitment deadline date below. When you come back after taking the season off, your swimmer will need to be reassessed by coaches to make sure you are still in the appropriate group and there is no guarentee therr will be space in that group. I will reach out to parents individually regarding this assessment. The seasons and stop/start dates are as follows: 

Fall Season: September - December

Commitment Deadline: August 18th 

Pause Billing Request Period: December 15th - December 29th 

Tryouts: Septmeber 14 & 15 at 5-6pm

 

Spring Season: January - April

Commitment Deadline: December 15th 

Pause Billing Request Period: April 13th - April 27th 

Tryouts: TBD

Summer Season: May - August

Commitment Deadline: April 13th 

Pause Billing Request Period: August 17th - August 31st

Tryouts: TBD
